By Sheriff K, 20-Year Law Enforcement Veteran and Elected Sheriff

Let me be as clear as the star-spangled banner flying over this great nation: any sheriff who refuses to assist or work with ICE on immigration enforcement is a coward, a derelict, and a traitor to the oath they swore to uphold. I’ve been in law enforcement for over 20 years, and I’ve seen my fair share of gutless bureaucrats, but the sheriffs who turn their backs on ICE are a special breed of disgrace. They’re not just failing their communities—they’re spitting on the Constitution and the very citizens they’re supposed to protect.
Let’s start with the basics: as sheriffs, we take an oath to uphold the Constitution of the United States. That’s not some empty promise you make to get a shiny badge and a campaign photo op. It’s a sacred vow to defend the rule of law, to protect our communities, and to stand against those who threaten the safety and sovereignty of this nation. When you refuse to work with ICE, you’re not just shirking your duty—you’re actively aiding and abetting the invasion of our country by illegal aliens, many of whom are criminals, gang members, and predators.
Don’t give me that nonsense about “compassion” or “community trust.” That’s the language of cowards who are too scared to do the hard work of law enforcement. If you’re a sheriff and you’re more worried about being called a racist by the woke mob than about protecting your citizens from MS-13 gangbangers or drug cartels, then you don’t deserve to wear the badge. Period. Your job isn’t to be popular on Twitter or to pander to the open-borders lunatics in the Democrat Party. Your job is to keep your community safe, and that means working with ICE to get criminal aliens off our streets and out of our country.
Let’s talk about responsibility. When you’re elected sheriff, the people of your county put their trust in you to protect them—not just from the local meth head breaking into their garage, but from the broader threats to our nation’s security. Illegal immigration isn’t some abstract issue debated in the halls of Congress; it’s a clear and present danger to every American citizen. Just look at the headlines: illegal aliens raping and murdering innocent Americans, like Laken Riley, whose blood is on the hands of every sheriff who refuses to cooperate with ICE. These sheriffs aren’t just derelict—they’re complicit.
And don’t even try to hide behind the excuse of “local control” or “states’ rights.” That’s a cop-out, pun intended. The Constitution doesn’t give you the right to pick and choose which federal laws you’ll enforce based on your feelings or your political leanings. When you refuse to work with ICE, you’re not standing up for your community—you’re standing against the very framework of law and order that holds this nation together. You’re saying that your personal politics matter more than the safety of the citizens who elected you. That’s not leadership; that’s cowardice.
I’ve worked with ICE, the FBI, and the U.S. Marshals, and I can tell you firsthand that the men and women in those agencies are heroes. They’re out there every day, fighting to remove the very real public safety threats that these sanctuary sheriffs are shielding. And what do they get for their trouble? A bunch of spineless sheriffs who’d rather cozy up to the radical left than do their damn jobs.

Let me tell you something: the American people are watching. They’re tired of the chaos, tired of the crime, and tired of being told that their safety doesn’t matter. They know that illegal immigration is a national security crisis, and they expect their sheriffs to stand with ICE, not against them. If you’re one of these so-called “sheriffs” who refuses to cooperate, then you’re not just failing your oath—you’re failing the very people who trusted you with their lives.
And let’s not forget the ultimate irony: these same sheriffs who refuse to work with ICE are the first ones to cry for federal help when their counties are overrun with crime. They want the benefits of federal law enforcement when it suits them, but when it comes to doing their part to secure the border and deport criminal aliens, they’re nowhere to be found. That’s not just hypocrisy—it’s betrayal.
So, to every sheriff out there who’s refusing to assist ICE, I say this: resign. Take off the badge, turn in your gun, and go find a job where your cowardice won’t cost American lives. Because as long as I’m sheriff, I’ll be standing shoulder to shoulder with ICE, the Border Patrol, and every other agency fighting to protect this nation. I’ll be honoring my oath to the Constitution, not hiding behind excuses or pandering to the woke mob.
The American people deserve better than cowards in badges. They deserve sheriffs who will fight for them, not against them. And if you’re not willing to do that, then you’re not just derelict—you’re a disgrace to the uniform.

Not without a COURT order!! That’s exactly what he says. You know full well that’s the correct way to go about things. Speaking about the constitution, “knock and arrest” has been found unconstitutional WITHOUT a JUDICIAL warrant. One part of law enforcement involves KNOWING correct procedure. It’s pretty sad that you don’t after 20 years. Perhaps you should try a different academy and start over and actually LEARN to uphold the constitution. You are the digrace
